Investiture Ceremony

The investiture ceremony for the academic year 2017-18 was held on June 30 at National Public    School Banashankari. Mrs. Madhumathi Damodharan, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya M G Railway Colony, a seasoned educationist and a down to earth person was the Chief Guest of the day. The Chief Guest and our Principal Grace C D decorated the badge holders with sashes and flags. The House Captains and the Vice Captains were conferred with badges. It was a poignant and dignified moment for everyone. Mrs. Madhumathi Damodharan in her speech highlighted the importance of leadership and the various qualities one needed to be an effective leader. She then encouraged the student leaders to keep the school’s flag flying high through constant pursuit of excellence in all spheres of life.

A novel introduction into the Student Council, a brain child of our Principal Madam, was the enigmatic ‘Traffic Marshal’ – a need of the hour. This was established to tame and regulate the traffic flow during the morning hours and the dispersal time in front of the school. They were also decorated with sashes.

The Principal then administered the oath of office to all the newly elected members of the School Council. They pledged to disburse their duties with integrity, honesty and faith. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks and photo session.
