Kannada Week was celebrated from 27th November 2017 to 30th November 2017, on account of Â Kannada Â Rajyotsava. The week started with the inaugural function, and prayer `à²¶à²°à²£à³ à²¸à²¿à²¦à³à²§à²¿ à²µà²¿à²¨à²¾à²¯à²â sung by students of Grade IV.
During the Kannada week, the students of Grades III to X had an opportunity to participate in different programmes like song, skit, dance, fancy dress, etc..
During the week all the students and teachers took the pledge in Kannada. The Thought for the day was given in Kannada, with an English translation and the news was read, in Kannada.
The skit âà²¹à³à²à³ à²à²à²à³ …â a comedy was performed amazingly by the students of Grade IX and made the audience burst into laughter.
Little kids of Grades III and IV dressed up to represent the folk peopleÂ of Karnataka that is Gorava, Koravanji and Devara kunitha.
On the last day students, ofÂ Grade VII gave a book review of Â `à²®à³à²à²à³à²à²¿à²¯ à²à²¨à²¸à³à²à²³à³â written by K . ShivaramaÂ Karnth . Finally the âKannada vaaraâ ended with the State Song à²à²¯ à²à²¾à²°à²¤ à²à²¨à²¨à²¿à²¯ à²¤à²¨à³à²à²¤à³…, sung by teachers.
