Valedictory Ceremony

Valedictory Ceremony was held at National Public School, Banashankari, which marked the culmination of all CCA and Sports activities and competitions held throughout the year, talented students gave impressive performances with their yoga asanas & cultural dances to mark an end . Snippets of all the activities and competitions held during the year was presented by CCA coordinators . Results and the scores of all the four houses for CCA competitions were declared. Encouraging words from Madam Grace C D, Academic Director and Madam Jayanti Nair, Principal were truly inspiring. The function ended with the traditional Valedictory ceremony, where the prefects officially handed over their responsibilities vested upon them during Investiture ceremony to Hon . Principal . Principal madam Jayanthi Nair officially declared the closure of CCA and Sports events for the Academic year 2020-21.

Republic Day

The 67 th Republic day was celebrated on Jan 26 th with great éclat in the school grounds. The teachers took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity.

The event began at 8.20 am with hoisting of the Indian National flag by our honorable Principal madam Ms.Jayanti Nair followed by National anthem and Patriotic songs by the Teacher’s choir group.

Principal Ms.Jayanti Nair addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of the day . The teachers dispersed after distribution of the sweets with the image of fluttering tri-color in their minds.

Teachers' day is celebrated to appreciate and acknowledge the sincere efforts and hard work of teachers in making sophisticated and responsible individuals. To make this day special for the teachers of National Public School, Banashankari, the students of Grade 10 and 12 decided to have a virtual celebration. The teachers took these online classes as a challenge and made the classes as interactive & interesting as they could. The celebration was organized ensuring social distance and safety of teachers at different venues in school.

The programme started off with a welcome speech. Later, a presentation containing pictures of all the teachers was displayed on the screen. Adding on, a Kannada invocation song sung by two students along with instrumental music by the students was played. To make things more exciting, a dance performance from the dance group Nrityites was displayed followed by a Hindi song dedicated to our teachers. The Hindi song was followed by another group dance with Bollywood flair from the group Beat Tweets. To top it, the videos from the students of Grade 10 & 12 and our school’s alumni were played where the students spoke about the teachers. Of course, a program would not be complete without a live speech from our beloved Academic Director Ms. Grace C D and our Principal Ms. Jayanti Nair. The programme ended with vote of thanks. Souvenirs were presented to the teachers by the management and refreshments were served after the memorable celebration. It was a unique experience and we loved it.

National Science Day Celebration - 2021

The "National Science Day 2021" was conducted successfully amidst the pandemic situation too, at National Public School, Banashankari. National Science Day is celebrated on February 28 every year to commemorate the discovery of "The Raman Effect" by the great Indian physicist Sir C V Raman on February 28, 1928.

The programme began with the welcome address by Stuti Vitta of 7 C. Each year they have a specific theme for the National Science Day. This year’s theme talk "Future of STI: Impacts on Education, Skills, and Work". The National Science Day 2021 aims to motivate the students to gain hands-on experience in the field of science "was rendered by Pranav Rathi from 6 B.

To enrich us on how to keep our environment plastic free, students of Gr 7 and 8 depicted through their expressive and graceful dance performance. The Science Day Celebration was concluded by Nayana Narasimha Prasad of 8D's vote of thanks. Indeed it was a very knowledgeable and fruitful day for all of us on understanding the main motive of this day.

Independence Day 15th August 2020

National Public School, Banashankari, celebrated 74th Independence Day on the virtual platform, marking yet another foray to reach out and spread the nationalistic fervor on the platform. The tri colour flag was unfurled by our Academic Director, Madam Grace C. D. and Principal Madam Jayanti Nair, followed by the National Anthem. The speeches given by the dignitaries took everyone down the memory lane and apprised each of their duties and marked that the future lies in the hands of the young students. Keeping the norms of social distancing in mind, the teachers presented patriotic songs and dance which added to the spirit and made us feel proud to be an Indian. The school magazine, ILLUME 2019, officially released on the same day, is the reflection of the culture of the school, as it is a mirror to the cream of activities and expression of students’ creativity and imagination. Students could not be present in the campus physically but we are very happy that they experienced the celebrations online whole heartedly.

International Yoga Day

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. Yoga is the need of the hour and it is the best way to balance life smoothly.

International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2020, in National Public School, Banashankari by the teachers with great enthusiasm and zeal. The program started with a brief introduction about the Origin and Significance of Yoga by Ms Anuradha. A graceful Yogic Dance Performance was organised and displayed by the teachers.

Despite the pandemic situation, the teachers took up the task of celebrating the international yoga day for a good cause maintaining the social distance throughout the programme.
